After a successful debut on the calendar last year, the Superbike World Championship returns this weekend to the Sepang International Circuit, in Malaysia, for the ninth round of the season, the last before the summer break.

The clear favorite, given the advantage monstre in the standings, it is once again Jonathan Rea, even though two weeks ago at Laguna Seca he was unable to fight for the victory, with Chaz Davies unattainable and Tom Sykes making no concessions.
These two will be his main adversaries and will certainly give their all to complicate his life like in California.

Chaz Davies who will race alone in Sepang given that for Davide Giugliano, his teammate, unfortunately the season, which had already started uphill with the injury at Phillip Island, is already over.
The Roman driver will in fact have to face a long period of convalescence following the crash in Race 2 at Laguna Seca in which he once again fractured a vertebra.
For the Malaysian event the Aruba.it Ducati team has decided not to replace him: only after the summer break will Michele Pirro, already the team's test rider, take over from him.

The greatest expectation, however, is naturally for Max Biaggi, in his second wildcard of the season with Aprilia Racing, who returns to the track to do better than his already excellent performance at Misano, trying to get behind the team's "starting" riders Leon Haslam and Jordi Torres .
