The two fourth places obtained at the end of the round at the TT Circuit in Assen did not satisfy Leon Haslam, who saw his gap in the standings rise to -50 points from Jonathan Rea, who scored a double last Sunday.

In light of the extraordinary performance of his former teammate, in fact, any placing outside the top-3 can almost be considered a defeat.

The Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils rider is disappointed above all because he believed that the podium was within his reach, but for various reasons he was unable to remain competitive until the checkered flag.

“We are obviously disappointed with the results of the two races” – he commented haslam – “At the beginning of the weekend we knew that we had to chase the Kawasakis, but then in both races, from the tenth to the fifteenth lap, we were there together with the riders who were playing for the success. From the fifteenth to the end of the two races we lost grip on the front and for this reason I couldn't push to stay in the running for success. We tried the harder option but little changed, obviously it has to do not only with the set-up of the bike but also on my bike riding it. We have to analyze the data at our disposal, two fourth places are not the best."
