Superbike: The times of the Australian RoundSuperbike: The times of the Australian Round

This weekend the series-derived championship will finally rekindle its engines for the first round of the season at Phillip Island.
Lots of new features on the starting grid, from World Champion Sylvain Guintoli who abandoned Aprilia for the Pata team's Honda CBR 1000 RR, to Johnny Rea who instead switched from Honda to Kawasaki to join Tom Sykes.
News that had their weight in the last seasonal tests: the new Kawasaki pair, for example, risks being the most explosive, especially due to the fact that Rea already seems to be at ease with the Ninja.
The other big surprise is Suzuki who dominated the tests at Phillip Island with Lowes.
Another name that has caused discussion in these latest tests is that of Jordi Torres: the Aprilia rider surprised everyone with convincing runs and the third fastest time overall, six tenths ahead of his more experienced teammate, Leon Haslam.
Ducati moves up even if for the first round they will have to do without Giuliano, who is injured: the legendary three-time World Champion Troy Bayliss will replace him.
Honda deserves a separate chapter, as it didn't shine with Guintoli and Van der Mark: the Pata team's CBR 1000 RR is a work in progress and is unlikely to be in the running for the first GP. In short, this Sunday there are all the conditions to watch an exciting race: the round will be broadcast live on TV by the Mediaset networks, in particular Italia 1 and Mediaset Italia 2.
Given the "inconvenience" of the times, the start will be 'at a reduced pace': the most important events will be the Superpole, scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 Italian time, and the two races on Sunday, which will start at 2: 00 and 4 and will be commented by Giulio Ranghieri and Max Biaggi.
