Fabio Menghi will unfortunately have to postpone his debut in the top series derivative championship: the VFT Racing driver is in fact hospitalized in Melbourne hospital after his crash on the second day of testing at Phillip Island.

More detailed medical tests confirmed a bad fracture of the pelvis, in correspondence with the left acetabulum and a suspected rupture of the acromioclavicular ligament.
Assisted by the staff of the mobile clinic and by Doctor Lorina S. Giorgi, Menghi always remained conscious and fortunately never lost his sense of humor.

“I'm very sad about what happened, but we know that for a rider this is part of the game. Of course I'm not demoralized, I had in fact improved my lap times and I will be very excited on the day of my return” – he said Fabio Menghi – “I would like to thank all the people who support us and all the fans who made me feel their closeness with their messages. I will keep you constantly informed about my conditions. Hi everyone!"
