Superbike Donington, Free Practice: Encouraging result for Savadori

Superbike, Acerbis UK Round – Free Practice. The weekend started well for Lorenzo Savadori and Team Iodaracing who achieved the seventh fastest time at the end of the second free practice session and gained direct access to the second qualifying heat, scheduled for Saturday 28 May around 12:00.

Despite the final result, however, the day was not easy: in the morning session the Italian driver had in fact encountered some difficulties in finding the ideal set up for a complicated circuit like Donington Park.
The hard work has rewarded Savadori and the team who can now take advantage of the third free practice session to work on their race pace, their weak point up to this part of the season.
The aim is to do as many laps as possible on used tyres, to improve grip and pace in the second part of the race.

“I'm satisfied with how the second free practice session went for us. This morning we had encountered some difficulties but the team worked very well and we managed to find a starting set up to work on and now we are settling on that. Not only that, we also managed to lap a lot with used tires and we didn't do badly, but we have to continue working because they certainly won't be waiting for us up front" – he commented Lorenzo Savadori – “Tomorrow we will have to work further on the race pace precisely because, as we have already seen with the races done so far, we have some difficulties in the second part of the race. What makes me happy is being able to enter SP2, Team Iodaracing and Aprilia have worked very well up to this moment"
