For the Welshman, farewell to Ducati was difficult to digest

Like every season, there will be changes to the 2021 line ups and some riders have yet to find a place for next year.
Among these is Chaz Davies who will not continue his relationship with the ARUBA.IT Ducati team as Michael Ruben Rinaldi will arrive in his place.

With so many question marks, the only sure thing is that he won't be riding an official bike in 2021: what are the possible hypotheses?

On Saturday afternoon after Race 1 Davies gave some clarification on his future: “Do I have something in my hands? No. If there is something we talk about? Yes. Imagine sitting where I am sitting and having the feeling of not being able to fight for the world championship and of not having the total support of those around you. Leave already with an excuse. I'm not saying this will be the situation but if you're not part of an official team you automatically don't have full support."

In this category there are many Ducati riders available; all the Independent teams have yet to receive signatures for 2021 and among these there is also Team GOELEVEN which this season won the title as best private team. Davies said: “There are no concrete hypotheses at the moment.”
One of the best places still free is that of the Ten Kate Racing Yamaha team with which Loris Baz has not yet renewed. There is also confirmation of a second BMW team but Davies is quite skeptical about this.
“Yes and no,” he replied when asked if there had been any contact between him and BMW. “Obviously I was interested since I'm now out of Ducati but no one responded to me. It means they don't want me,” he concluded.
Regarding his farewell to Ducati, Davies didn't hold back and said that no one from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer gave him a valid reason: "To be honest, that's how it went and so you have to read between the lines. The only thing Luigi Dall'Igna talked about was the Superpole which I admit was my weak point. But I would also have taken into consideration that we have achieved a certain stability with the bike and the package. I have the feeling that there isn't much to change and so I think we are now better placed to work on a specific setup for qualifying. It's impossible not to take this decision personally. It hurts, it hurts a lot right now."
