Superbike: Chaz Davies wants a victory for Ducati

Despite the three podiums achieved in the first season, Chaz Davies, and in general the entire Ducati Superbike Team, achieved less than they showed on the track, especially in testing and qualifying, whereas in the race they made a few too many mistakes .

While the English driver cannot say he is satisfied with his current position in the standings, where he is sixth with 159 points, he is satisfied with the work carried out by the team this year:

“I'm not interested in the general classification” – he said smiling Chaz Davies – “From that point of view it is obvious that it is not a great season, but I think that the progression recorded by the whole team is worth underlining. We have been getting closer to the top every weekend and now we are very competitive."

“Overall I'm really happy, especially seeing how much the bike has improved from November to today. There has been a huge amount of work and I believe the direction is the right one. I'm comfortable with the bike, I know what I want from it. The setup hasn't changed much, but we've had various electronics and engine changes that have helped."

The former WSS champion is also convinced that victory was within his reach already in the last round at Laguna Seca:

“We were ready to win, unfortunately the crash in Race 1 also eliminated me from Race 2. The bike is very close to the leaders and I had a great pace in California. I will do my best for the rest of the season and let's see if the victory comes. We'll see".
