The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team closes the round at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao with a decidedly positive balance, given the podium achieved in both races.
Davide Giugliano finished second in race 2, while Chaz Davies climbed to third in race 1.

With the first half of the 2015 championship behind us, Chaz Davies is now fourth in the general classification with 184 points, while Davide Giugliano is eleventh with 73 points. Ducati is second in the manufacturers' standings (232 points).

“It's an important podium for me, especially after finishing the first race in fourth place. In race 1 I simply couldn't find the right feeling with my bike due to a lack of grip, which seems to have been caused by climatic variations" – he said David Giugliano – “Fortunately it rained, because that way we managed to manage the situation a little better and I obtained fourth position. It's a shame because I could have had two podiums here today. For the second race we had made some small changes and my team gave me a bike with which I could lap fast and finish second. The updates that the guys brought here helped me and I am very happy above all with the fact that, after the forced three months of stoppage, the team helped me get back into the fight for the victory which I hope will come soon..."

“As happened at Donington, I think third position today was the best possible result for me in race 1 here at Portimao. The lap times were very fast in the first phase and I managed to stay with Rea and Sykes up to a certain point in the race, but then I lost something in a couple of places on the track” – he said Chaz Davies – “We made a good pitstop and I was able to maintain third position until the finish line so I'm happy. The race was difficult, with very strong winds in the final stage, as well as rain. The second moto was difficult from the start. We had made some changes between the first and second race but I didn't have the right feeling with the front and I was struggling to brake as I would have liked. I think the temperature change made a difference. We will continue to work to better understand how we can improve when temperatures rise."
