Superbike: Badovini is confident for the continuation of the season
The BMW driver hopes to do even more at Laguna Seca, the scene of the next round
Ayrton Badovini left the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” with encouraging results: he finished race 1 in seventh place and only a technical tire pressure problem prevented him from repeating himself in race 2.
The objective for the Biella rider, who replaced Sylvain Barrier during the season aboard the Team Motorrad Italia BMW, is now to prepare as best as possible for the next challenge, the Geiko US Round, scheduled at Laguna Seca from 17 to 19 July.
“I am very happy with our performance in race one, in which I fought for a long time with the riders in my group and in the end I managed to prevail, bringing home a good result. In the second heat I had fun until halfway through the race, but from then on I suffered a drop in grip. I was no longer able to ride as I wanted and overtake my rivals. However, I am happy with this weekend in which we worked well, collecting important data, which will allow us to improve further. This is also why we are looking forward to the next races with confidence."
