Only Kawasaki kept pace with Ducati on test day 2 in Jerez

In Jerez on Test Day 2 the music doesn't change for Ducati, Davide Giugliano confirms himself as the fastest on the track, even improving his time from yesterday by almost a second.
If this wasn't enough, his 1'40"166 disintegrates the Superpole obtained by Eugene Laverty with Aprilia in the GP last October (1'40"620).
The Panigale seems to be growing well, gaining on the straights and improving traction.
Also for Ducati, Chaz Davies' fifth place was also good, achieved without the qualifying tyre, used instead by Giugliano on the record lap.

Super soft also used by Tom Sykes and Loris Baz, second and third fastest of the day, the only ones to keep up with Giugliano.
The Kawasaki duo precedes Jonathan Rea by half a second on an increasingly convincing Honda, which is confirming the good sensations from the Cartagena tests.

Aprilia is a little in the shade, although with the long list of material to experiment with, it is likely that they don't want to reveal their cards: Sylvain Guintoli, championship leader, is 6th ahead of Marco Melandri who is still seeking the limit of RSV4.

Definitely further behind their rivals, the Suzuki of Laverty, eighth, and Lowes, even twelfth at the end of the day.

A great TEST for Giuliano, finally signs of recovery for Ducati at least in SBK... but an excellent time was achieved by Davies, who dropped to 1'40'745 without qualifying, making a comparison with the first four who clocked 1'40 yes!.. But everyone with qualifying tyres... BRAVO to Davies and all the Ducati staff, of course they are always in the shade but the credit goes to them too...

As far as I know, Davies ran on qualifying tyre.

    Everyone used the qualifying tyre.
However, he did an excellent time, because 1.40.6 and so was the qualifying record of 2013.

The Ducatis appeared to be making a clear recovery compared to last year.
Giuliano has always ridden a Ducati (apart from last year) and is more at ease than Davies who, on every track, always finds himself with new reactions.

I am very satisfied, I can't wait to see a competitive Ducati again in the race, this, unfortunately, is still an aspect to be evaluated.
