Scott Redding: “Racing with the MotoGP at the Circuit of the Americas will be very interesting”

Scott Redding will contest his second race aboard the Honda RCV1000R MotoGP in Austin. The British rider, author of a great debut in Qatar (where he finished the race in seventh position, first in the Honda Open), knows that the US is a track that requires a lot from the tire point of view. He is, however, confident, given that last year in Moto2 he signed the pole position.

“Racing with the MotoGP on the Circuit of the Americas will be very interesting – said Scott Redding – I feel very comfortable on this track, in fact last year in Moto2 I was very fast, signing the pole position with an advantage of six tenths of a second. second above all the others. I also think that the track suits the characteristics of our bike well, both in terms of handling and stability at braking points. We will have to work well on the tire front, because Austin is a demanding track from this point of view and we will probably be forced to use the harder option in the race, rather than the soft one as we did in Qatar."
