SBK|The new Suzuki GSXR presented

Suzuki returns to the start of the World Championship of production derivatives among the ranks of Team Grillini: the graphics are very similar to the official ones, but the bike is still to be developed and it seems there will not be much support from the parent company, concentrated on MotoGP.

The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate the twenty-year anniversary of the Grillini team and, curiously, the 20-year career of Roberto Rolfo: “I too will celebrate my twentieth anniversary next year. It will be my first twenty years in the world championship. This combination really excites me! And then the bike intrigues me a lot, especially in terms of the chassis. I can't wait to get back on the bike after the last race in Qatar with Kawasaki. I'm training a lot physically but getting back on the bike will be something else."

Alongside him, who will take part in the entire season, there will be Christian Gamarino until the Imola round, replacing the very young Gabriele Ruiu, who will have to wait until he turns 18 before officially making his debut on his Suzuki GSXR.

“Twenty years have passed since my debut and the results have not been lacking,” he said. “We have always worked hard, starting and finishing the championships, from the national races to the European championships up to the world championship, even doing some wild card in 250 with Chaz Davies, who I thank very much. This year will be very challenging for us: we have a new bike and we will have to concentrate on development, considering that the world championship will start in about a month" - declared Andrea Grillini, Team Manager and owner of the team - "I have a team of 7 technicians, I know they will work their best. And finally I also have the pleasure of having Roberto Rolfo race, who did his last race with us last year and felt very good, so he will do the whole season with us. I started courting him about ten years ago, I called him at the end of each season... now we managed to meet!"
