SBK, Prosecco DOC German Round, Race1: Davies doesn't make mistakes

Great performance for the Welshman who easily controls Rea and Sykes

On the starting grid he appeared concentrated and motivated to reverse what he saw in qualifying in the race.
Thanks to a very clean ride and a balanced Panigale, Chaz Davies managed to get the better of Sykes during the first laps and cross the finish line in first position.

Kawasaki's risky choice to fit a soft Pirelli SC0, which works best with at least 40 degrees of asphalt while here there were 31, does not pay off in comparison to a more balanced Panigale which has adapted better, with Davies, to the imperfections in the asphalt, which make the track comparable to a motocross track.

Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes completed the podium without however managing to worry Davies too much.
Fourth place for Marco Melandri who at the end also risked letting a Leon Camier who was in a state of grace today get dangerously close with his MV, which was really effective in the race.
The rider from Ravenna instead experienced a very nervous Panigale to ride, which didn't allow him to open the throttle safely.

A point in favor of the Italian manufacturer is the fact that it was one of the few teams not to test here.
Sixth place for Alex Lowes, protagonist of a good race, compared to the difficulties experienced by teammate Van der Mark, only 15th today.

Difficult race and start, after an excellent qualifying, for Lorenzo Savadori who finished seventh ahead of Xavi Fores, author of a good comeback, Jordi Torres and the other Aprilia of Eugene Laverty who closed the top10.

Unlucky Davide Giugliano was forced to retire due to a problem with the CBR's engine which caused the bike to shut down.
Honda was running with just one rider given the withdrawal of Stefan Bradl due to the worsening of his shoulder problem after yesterday's crash in FP2.

See you tomorrow, 13 pm, with Race 00.
