Kawasaki confirms itself as the all-conquering ace of the production-derived World Championship this year too: after Jonathan Rea's third consecutive drivers' title and that of the teams that arrived at Magny-Cours three weeks ago, the constructors' title also arrived in Jerez de la Frontera.

This title is perhaps the most important in terms of returns for the Japanese company as it establishes a technical and developmental supremacy over its opponents, undeniable if you look at the races as a whole.
The main competitor, Ducati, even if it has reached excellent levels of competitiveness, is only able to compete on equal terms on some tracks and this, if we also add the technical problems that Davies and Melandri had to face, not least the failure of the engine of the the Italian in Race1 in Jerez, unfortunately it's not enough if you want to think about breaking the Ninja's dominance.
Stopping Kawasaki won't be easy next year either.

In addition to Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes, the 12 riders riding the greenbacks scored 549 points, 69 more than Ducati with 50 points available, in the last round in Qatar.

2017 was a splendid year for the ZX-10RR: 39 podiums and 16 victories with still two races to go, and the 100th victory in Great Britain.
Looking at the world championship palmares, Kawasaki with three titles closely sees Honda stuck at four, but still has a long way to go before reaching Ducati's 17 titles.
