SBK GP Aragon Kawasaki – For Rea it will be a particularly quick restart after having achieved two podiums in the last round of Motorland Aragon, which ended just a couple of days ago.

Portimao is one of Rea's favorite circuits ever and one of the most rewarding. He has recorded 24 podiums throughout his career, including 13 victories. After taking several podiums in the last few rounds, Rea enters the penultimate round of the championship ready to fight for further podiums to add to his total of 16 podiums so far in 2023.

Statements Jonathan Rea GP Aragon

“Portimão is a circuit that I really like and I had some good races there. The nature of the track is incredible and is unique. It reminds me of my motocross days, with its undulations, blind corners and off-camber sections. It is a very demanding track. You're always looking for the perfect ride around Portimao. You always feel like you could do something a little better. We will look for perfection this weekend after a series of excellent race weekends. As we approach Portimao we need to keep our eyes on the podium, have fun on the bike and work hard in free practice to be fast and consistent even in race conditions. Portimao is an event where we always have a lot of support from travelers at home, so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully we can go out and collect some important points."
