SBK GP Indonesia – Alvaro Bautista also wins Race 2 of the Mandalika Grand Prix, second stage of the SBK world championship.

The Spanish driver, after winning Race 1 and crashing during the Superpole Race, achieved success in Race 2.

After the restart in Race 2, caused by the red flag for the accident of Michael van der Mark and Oettl, the Spanish driver launched himself in pursuit of the leaders, arriving on the tail of his teammate Rinaldi and managing to conquer first position only with two laps to go.

Rinaldi's attempt to resist was useless and, in an attempt to stay in the Spaniard's wake, he made a mistake and ended an almost perfect race in fourth place.

This allows Toprak Razgatlioglu to finish in second position (after the victory in the SuperPole Race) and Xavi Vierge to conquer the podium aboard the Honda.

Second in the SuperPole Race, Andrea Locatelli finished fifth ahead of Danilo Petrucci who instead struggled in the sprint race and ended in tenth position.

Remy Gardner finishes seventh ahead of Alex Bassani and Iker Lecuona. Scott Redding completes the top ten.

Starting from third place on the grid, after an excellent start he managed to take the lead after 5 laps, forcing Razgatlioglu, who started from pole, and Locatelli to fight with an extraordinary Alex Bassani.

Lorenzo Baldassarri closes 14th. Of note is the fall of Jonathan Rea, who suffered a slip that seemed to have no consequences but was taken to the medical center for checks.
