In the final the Turk comes back 4 seconds, Bautista third
SBK GP Barcelona Race 1 – Toprak Razgatlioglu wins Race 1 of the Barcelona Grand Prix, second stage of the 2024 world championship.
The Turkish driver, who started from pole, managed the tire masterfully. In the first phase he fought for the leading positions, but remained cautious, letting Bulega "let off steam".
In the last two laps, the Turkish driver recovered more than 3 seconds on the Italian, passing him on the last lap. A bitter second place for the Ducati rookie.
In the last three laps Alvaro Bautista managed to pass Andrea Iannone after an excellent comeback, finishing in third position ahead of the GoEleven team rider and Andrea Locatelli (Yamaha).
Alex Lowes, on Kawasaki, finishes sixth, ahead of Danilo Petrucci who lost several positions in the final and Dominique Aegerter.
Michael van der Mark finishes in ninth position ahead of Axel Bassani (Kawasaki) who completes the top ten. Michael Rinaldi (Motocorsa) is out of the 10 and finishes 11th. Jonathan Rea's (Yamaha) race didn't even last a lap as he was forced to retire due to a problem after the start.
