SBK| The third official Ducati entrusted to Rinaldi

The World Series Championship is officially on holiday: while waiting to restart the engines in January with the new tests, the teams are defining the line ups for next season, not without some sensational news.

The latest in chronological order will see the Aruba Racing Ducati team take to the track with the third official Panigale, entrusted to the reigning Superstock 1000 champion, Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who has already participated with the starting team in the tests on the Jerez de la circuit Frontera.
Ducati's intent is clearly to be able to win the World Manufacturers' Title that has been missing since 2011, countering the excessive power of Kawasaki.
For the young Italian driver this is a great opportunity even if it has not yet been made official whether he will compete alongside Davies and Melandri in the entire Championship or just the European races, or part of them as a wild card.

“The program is still being defined: the objective is to guarantee Rinaldi to race the entire Championship, but fielding a third bike requires a difficult commitment” – explained Serafino Foti, team manager of the Aruba.it team Racing Ducati – "In any case, we immediately discarded the possibility of having Michael race again in Superstock: he has already won the title there and therefore having him race another season would have been demotivating for him and for us."
