Once the hangover from the manufacturers' title won in Jerez has passed, after the drivers' and team's title obtained in Magny-Cours, the Kawasaki Racing Team is ready to fight for the top positions also at the Losail International Circuit, a track on which Jonathan Rea has never won so far .

The three-time World Champion, where he achieved a double in Jerez, is motivated to beat other records, such as that of achieved in a season, and obviously also wants to include Qatar in his personal palmares.

“Thinking about last weekend in Jerez it was a fantastic round” – he explained Jonathan Rhea – “It has always been a good circuit for us during winter testing, but this year we managed to be really strong all weekend. This gave us good momentum for Qatar. This will be the last round and I want to finish the season well. I really like the atmosphere we find here in the paddock and racing in the evening adds a bit of excitement between the riders and the teams. The layout suits me and there are a lot of high-speed corners. It is important to maximize grip, given that the track is in the middle of the desert and at the start of the weekend the track is not rubberised, so we will have to be careful. I want to finish the season well. Whatever happens, we can be satisfied with this year's work."

Tom Sykes is fighting for second place in the championship on equal points with Chaz Davies: the Kawasaki rider hopes to have a good weekend, as the track suits his riding style.

“This is the last round of the year” – he began Tom Sykes – “And the season has already passed, almost without realizing it. The condition of my hand improved after the test in Jerez where there were a lot of changes in direction and it was certainly not ideal. I wasn't completely myself in Jerez, but I'm looking forward to the last two races. Losail is a very beautiful track and I really like driving there, at night, under the floodlights. I really like the layout in general and also the weekend hours. In the last round we will try to adapt the bike setup to my riding style as best as possible, as I have already modified my riding style to adapt to this year's changes. In Qatar we will see if the bike's set-up can do the rest. At the moment we are working to secure second place in the championship."
