QP1 Jerez, C. Checa: 'We are very close to finding the optimal settings and I have a good feeling with the bike'

Carlos Checa (1'41.427) comments on the first day of qualifying for the Spanish GP which takes place in Jerez de la Frontera.
Here are his words:
“We are in the provisional front row and the weather forecast for tomorrow is not good, so we knew it was quite important to be at the front today. This morning we had some problems with the bike, but I'm satisfied with the work we managed to do. I just need a little more time to get the bike to its full potential. We are very close to finding the optimal settings and I have a good feeling with the bike – which is a big step forward compared to South Africa. I really hope the race is dry, but the forecast is very doubtful.”
