Qatar: The Dakar "Semi-Series" Report Cards... ah no... it was the MotoGP!

Not very serious and very semi-serious report cards for the Qatar Grand Prix

Qatar: The Dakar "Semi-Series" Report Cards... ah no... it was the MotoGP!Qatar: The Dakar "Semi-Series" Report Cards... ah no... it was the MotoGP!

Debs: The motorcycle championship is finally back! (I must admit that I can't wait anymore,
I stood up on the chair) and finally we see them again beautiful faces of the commentators that we missed so much during the winter! The only positive note is the English of the new correspondent who, apparently, doesn't make us regret the old ones sent from the pits but also brings bad luck to the drivers.
Which fantastic girls some of my friends gave me the cap by “nonsonomicapazzo” Cal and, to inaugurate the start of the championship, I decided to watch the race with my cap on…..ok, I will not do that anymore! I swear!!
Marika: eh it will be the Debs case! Nothing brings bad luck to him too?!
Debs: But let's talk about the race
Marika: stop! Stop!
Debs: huh? That?
Marika: Not everyone watches Superbike. And maybe some still think I'm a serious person.
Debs: I doubt it, but continue…
Marika: It's time to introduce ourselves, right? Say what we are here to do, why that crazy Alessio Brunori gives us permission to write on this site…
Debs: uhm…yes…maybe.
Marika: so… good morning people! I am Marika Farinazzo, yes the one who occasionally writes serious articles, and she is Deborah Iacopetta, friend, university companion and chronic delirium (as well as an expert in figures in general). Since Alessio Brunori is crazier than us (or maybe he understood that madmen must be agreed with), agreed to let us write the our report cards, very semi-serious and very unserious, about races.
Those who follow Superbike already knew us centuries ago, when it was the first race at Phillip Island in mid-February. Those who don't know us and are thinking that they wanted to remain in their ignorance are right, but he will know us now.
In fact, we will keep you company until the end of the year.
Happy?
Do not?
Patience!
Debs: Now let's get back to serious things?!
Mari: yes yes, continue
Debs: ok, then: i Comments, as usual, they are speeches that have neither head nor tail and all centered on the return of the great "master" Valentino Rossi.
What can I say, the race starts off very well (I was hoping for a huge accident at the start, but nothing) and continues in crescendo with overtaking until the last lap which is no laughing matter.

Jorge “I do another job” Lorenzo vote 10: in the tests he does his job, as in qualifying, ed during the race he disappears from everyone's sight, so much so that we thought he had gone to the countryside to pick a few bouquets of flowers. We could see him right there with the basket full of daisies and him all jumping around. The fact is that it pays for everyone in Qatar.

Lorenzo

Valentino Rossi vote 9: apparently not that valuable. Riding his flashback which is the Yamahhhha M1, he starts in a bad position on the grid, but recovers at the start. Not wanting to immediately show that he still has gas in his right hand, decides to deceive everyone going wide at the first corner after the straight (at the end of the race even Dovi will be amazed by such mastery in deceiving so many people) and move into sixth position immediately after Bradl. He stays behind Bradl for quite some time, until he decides it's time to wake up and go get those three rowdies up front.
It's starting to get heavy and... he overtakes first Cal and then Dani “This year I'm going to win the World Championship”. The fight with Marc Marquez was something extraordinary.

Marc Marquez “deraposoloioincurva” vote 9,5: first official Moto GP race and he takes third place, giving Rossi a hard time and punishing the poor "always behind" Pedrosa. A spectacular race from all points of view. Another nickname could well be “I'm never on the saddle”, he drives worse than Pedrosa in his heyday and he looks like a monkey on that bike! We will dream of the day he puts on a show together with TurboStoner

Crutchlow

We notice here Marquez's relaxed face and Cal Crutchlow's… Cal face

Daniel “This year I win the World Championship” Pedrosa vote 'It is not understandable': he was never seen during free practice, unless you looked in the meadows where he often was, but the
day of testing he rises like a phoenix and places third on the grid. But he struggles throughout the race and it shows, he makes some sideways noises that you can't quite decide if it's him
or his motorbike that decides to do them to him
and is inexorably "eaten" by Marquez and Rossi as if he were driving a CRT. Ok if you don't like the circuit, but from someone who hopes to win a world championship we expect more!

Cal “nosonomicscrazy” Crutchlow vote bow: he had a fantastic weekend, always among the first and in the warm up he was even first, but things change in the race. He can't keep up with the Hondas on the straights, after all, you know, the Hondas on the straights go like... like... like a catapult, but he makes up for everything in the guided section. Too bad then "go-fast" arrives and scares him with the classic trick of the cheese ghost. Cal, being new to these
jokes and following his philosophy of “either ahead or death“, he gets scared and decides to join Lorenzo in the countryside.
In the end he finished in 5th place. I swear I won't wear the hat at the next race!!

Andrea Dovizioso vote 7 of encouragement: In testing the Ducati looks like a missile. The lucky cousin of the one driven by Rossi in recent years. Ducatisti happy, Canarini a little angry, especially after qualifying, who are silent (my FaceBook wall was grateful!) and above all many beautiful hopes! We haven't seen a Ducati this far ahead (in testing) since Barberà's third place at Mugello. Then into the race Ducati remembers that it is a Ducati, and from mid-race onwards he decides to retreat to its usual positions.

Ducati: vote 5 and a half. People, remember that what matters is the result in the race, not having good qualifications!
DucatiPress: Rating 4: Ok it's weekend. Ok we run in the evening. Ok I like going to the disco too. But make us suffer less for the release of press releases. Pleaseeeeeee.

Nicky Hayden: vote 10. Yes 10. Why Ok that Ducati doesn't work. But so as not to be seen entirely the race as he did, to the doubt that makes us ask: but is he running? It takes commitment.
And he did it!
And we don't count then hormonal changes that provokes in us damsels…
Serious vote: call Who has seen.

Stefan “hey I'm here too” Bradl: vote 7. Obviously it's an overall of the weekend. Always fast. He appears among the first, reminding us that he too is a variable in play.
He does well in practice, and also in the race. He keeps an irrepressible Valentino Rossi behind him, repeatedly closing the door in his face. Then his motorbike passing through the straight
he sees a beautiful little woman (Anna Capella) who is interviewing her Master (Lucio Cecchinello).
He decides that he absolutely must know her and brutally gets rid of his jockey just to get back to the most taken in the box.

hayden

Here's proof that Nicky Hayden ran...

Aleix "I drive a CRT but I make it go like a MotoGP" Espargarò. Vote: Give this guy a motogp!!! He's young and is showing some great things: in QP1
he places himself behind the Ducatis of Spies and Iannone (which are MotoGP) and fully enters QP2. It deserves more.

Alvaro “moto tamarra” Bautista. Vote: Who has seen. In the race his bike is only noticeable for inconspicuous colors. Nobody bothers. Nobody bothers him. Quietly, quietly takes home a sixth place which isn't bad at all.

Pol Espargaro vote: 9 In practice it seems like he doesn't have any, and even at the start of the race. Then he wakes up and... decides he must win. Credit to Redding who didn't fight until the end.

Nakagami: vote 10. He acts crazy all weekend, except getting lost a little in the race. The vote is for the surname.

Espargarò Brothers: vote 10 and praise. But how cute are they?

Niccolo Antonelli. Vote 2. No, the race has nothing to do with it. He falls innocent. You eat and you don't gain weight. This subscribes you to the 2. OF principle.

Roman Fenati: vote "I don't know". You can't see it in the race, he finishes fifteenth. In return we saw it after the race. And the show wasn't the best.

Commentary: Overall rating 7. Not bad.
Paolo Beltramo: rating 8 for tenderness. He always tries, and his tender face melts the heart... even the little umbrellas agree to be interviewed... it's a shame that theLet his English be his alone: only he understands it.
Guido Medes , gag by Alberto Porta: Vote 2. She made me smile the first time. Then she just broke up.
Various commentators next to Meda: yes, because this year Meda is alone, so various characters take turns in the commentary booth to keep him company. Overall rating 6: Zamagni's r is irresistible.
Anna “we understand that you are not Alberto Porta” Capella : Vote 7. The emotion is all there and that's fine. Plus he speaks English! Good luck for the rest!
The bad luck brought by Mediaset: vote 10. The correspondents change, but that remains. It's nobody's fault. Tremble, drivers, tremble (and give yourself a touch of doubt!). An episode above all. Anna Capella interviews Cecchinello, and after 10 seconds Bradl is on the floor…

We're done for today, we've bored you enough.
Actually no!
Vote 10 and praise to our fantastic photographer Alex Farinelli who provided us with exclusive images throughout the weekend and for this crazy thing.

Mari and Debs greet you and see you next week in the Superbike section!

    Great report card!!

    Congratulations Marika!

Finally a few lines of healthy irony, which generates lightness, were really needed in this forum....

I hope you will (will) donate one to us after each GP.

Well dai Bradl and Crutchlow tried to keep Rossi's pace after being overtaken or to respond to the overtaking.
Usually it almost always happens that if someone has a slower pace and is then overtaken by someone who goes a lot faster, they try to keep the pace hoping that the gap is minimal; if they are very good they manage to stay on track and understand that it is too much for them, if not they get caught up in the heat and make an error of judgment and it ends as it ends.

I wouldn't be too critical of Antonelli and Fenati. This year the FTR Honda has a big technical gap compared to the KTMs and a bit of a technical gap also with the Suter Hondas, at least on tracks like Qatar and maybe also on all the others. , just take a look at the final ranking.

I see it being tough for the FTR riders this year, after all if VIÑALES wanted a KTM at all costs there must be a reason!

    1 Luis SALOM KTM 38'26.859
    2 Maverick VIÑALES KTM +0.417
    3 Alex RINS KTM +0.423
    4 Alex MARQUEZ KTM +0.701
5 Jonas FOLGER Kalex KTM +0.916
    6 KHAIRUDDIN KTM +17.489
    7 Miguel OLIVEIRA Mahindra +17.566
    8 Arthur SISSIS KTM +19.355
    9 Niklas AJO KTM +28.966
    10 Efren VAZQUEZ Mahindra +28.995
11 Danny WEBB Suter Honda +29.440
12 Brad BINDER Suter Honda +29.499
13 Jasper IWEMA NED Kalex KTM +39.216
14 Alexis MASBOU FTR Honda +39.415
15 Romano FENATI FTR Honda +39.451
16 Jack MILLER FTR Honda +39.797

    Great Marika…,

publish your smile, be it good or bad, it also serves to identify you on TV, in newspapers, in forums and then..., you are endowed with a kindness that personally... I would be happy to see your eyes, their expression
    ;-) ;-)

The expression and intensity of the gaze, in my opinion, are the most beautiful thing there can be between two people.

Opposite or same sex: it all starts from there.

Let us see your eyes Marika ;-)
