The new mobile clinic presented in Jerez…….

The Mobile Clinic is the small traveling hospital for motorcycle riders.
The Mobile Clinic has represented the place since 1977, the year of its creation
chosen by the inhabitants of the paddock to be cared for and assisted.
Journalists, mechanics, professionals, specialized personnel, team managers,
workers, technicians, organizers, craftsmen, in short, everyone, in the event of an unfortunate event
need, they can find specialists capable of solving the problem
their case on the Mobile Clinic (since 1997, also 24 hours a day), as when yes
go to the emergency room of a "good hospital".
But above all the pilots want the Mobile Clinic to be "always present".
which they consider as "THEM".
Motorcycle riders race to overcome the limits dictated by nature but in this
company encounter serious risks and dangers. The Mobile Clinic doesn't just search
to heal the wounds that these heroes suffer (over 500 falls each
year), but it creates that trust, that psychological safety which is the
irreplaceable foundation of any human undertaking, even the most difficult
or impossible.
And if, in challenging the impossible, if in running towards risk the pilot
fatally suffers an accident, it is in the Mobile Clinic that he is resurrected,
aided yes by medical science but in particular by drawing on them
miraculous resources that live inside human beings.
We then see that the wounds do not bleed the pilot but create the terrain
and the energy for a rebirth; and as if by an unknown magic, man is transformed
becoming similar to the gods.
We who work on the Mobile Clinic are the witnesses, the accomplices of this event
magical and wonderful which, like the Epiphany, reveals to us the birth or rather the
rebirth of the human being.
We live in the Mobile Clinic for this mission and we do it by designation
to our patients more love than medicines.
To continue doing this, we have built the fifth Mobile Clinic of
Motorcycling. The Clinic was built on a Pezzaioli semi-trailer
with tires offered by Michelin, in the Franzisella body shop in Varese,
chosen not only for proven technical capabilities but also because
manufacturer of all the vehicles of the prestigious, legendary Scuderia Ferrari.
The new Clinic, pulled by a 480 MAGNUM tractor granted with great sportiness
and generosity from RENAULT TRUCKS ITALIA, is made up of one part
fixed (13,560 m long, 2,52 m wide) and with two parts, each extensible
13,56 m long by 1,14 m wide, for a total height of 4 m.
It is divided as follows:

1) entrance (2,53 m long, 1,14 m wide, 2,080 m high)
2) waiting room (2,53 m long, 3,46 m wide, 2,080 m high)
3) medical and physiotherapy room (2,945 m long, 2,35 m + 1,14 + 1,14
m wide, 2,080 m high)
4) first aid room (2,785 m long, 2,350 m+ 1,14 + 1,14 m long
width, 2,080 m high)
5) traumatology and radiology room (3,195 m long, 2,350 m + 1,14
+ 1,14 m wide, 2,080 m high)
6) radiology and archive control room (1,18 m long, 2,35 m + 1,14 m
wide, 2,080 m high)

Eight beds, prototypes of the company, have been installed in the new clinic
ANTHOS renowned in the construction of medical furniture.
The radiology room was donated by one of the most prestigious
Imola-based companies, SACMI.
The physiotherapy room was designed for the preparation of athletes
and for the rehabilitation and re-education of injuries.
Traditional equipment has been added to the new Mobile Clinic
the latest YAG SMARTLINE laser, the EMS shock wave unit
Swiss Dolorclast and COMPEX 2 which have a beneficial action on the wounds caused
from the traumas of motorcycle sport.
The surgical instruments, the medical devices, the resuscitation line
were donated by CITIEFFE (manufacture of surgical instruments) by MEDICAL
STORE, FAZZINI and SIARE.
The clinic was decorated on the outside by the PADANA ADVERTISING company
with the 3M self-adhesive system.
3M LINEA SALUTE has also updated the interior of the Clinic with all those
materials that have made it famous in all hospitals around the world.
The expected expense to build this new Mobile Clinic, a symbol of safety
in the world of motorcycling, it is one million US dollars.
This budget, unattainable for us, has already been covered
it starts from someone who has shown us generosity and love. For these
sentiments we thank IRTA, International Road-Racing Teams Association,
and the DORNA.

To further contribute to the realization of this "priceless"
traveling hospital, Dr Costa wrote his autobiography "doctorcosta"
whose royalties will be entirely donated to the traveling hospital
of motorcyclists. The book is presented as a world premiere here in Jerez
together with the new Mobile Clinic.
