After the bad accident in the Motegi Grand Prix last October, when he was still competing in MotoGP, Alex De Angelis again underwent surgery on his right shoulder.

Hospitalized at the Vasta Romagna Area Peripheral Nervous System Operating Unit in Faenza, doctors repaired the lateral cord of the brachial plexus in the part of the right biceps muscle.
De Angelis doesn't yet know if he will be able to take part in the Pirelli Aragon Round astride the Aprilia RSV4 RF of the IodaRacing team, but he will still try to get on track for today's free practice: at the end, his condition will be assessed and a decision will be made whether to do so continue with the on-track action this weekend.

“The circuit doctor who saw me told me that I can definitely go out on track and try, then at the end of free practice I will go back to him to understand how it went” – he declared Alex De Angelis to WorldSBK.com – “For now I have removed the brace, the strength is little but certainly enough to go on the track and see how it goes”.
