MotoGP Yamaha Monster – After five years, the sponsorship relationship between the Spanish telecommunications giant, Movistar, and Yamaha Factory is coming to an end; from next year, in fact, the title sponsor will be Monster.

The news of a possible separation between Movistar and the Tre Diapason house had been in the air for some time, but now the official announcement has arrived. The ratings of the Spanish pay network don't seem to be going very well and at the end of the season it will not renew the agreement with DORNA and hence, the decision to withdraw completely from the MotoGP.

On the other hand, Monster, after losing the sponsorship of the Tech3 team, which next year will contest the season with the bikes supplied by KTM and therefore with Red Bull sponsors, had gone 'hunting' for a new team and the choice fell on the team official Yamaha.

The energy drink brand has been linked to the Iwata company since 2013. Both Yamaha riders, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales, are already linked to Monster and the new agreement almost seems like a normal evolution of the relationship between the parties.

These are the words of Lin Jarvis, Managing Director Yamaha: “We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Monster Energy Company as the new Title Sponsor for our official team. Monster Energy is a very dynamic brand and is extremely active across the world, we expect that this collaboration will further strengthen the exposure of both brands and can give us a great platform for marketing activities. The new agreement also represents Yamaha and Monster Energy's intention to further strengthen collaboration in all motorsport sectors.”

Rodney Sacchi, Monster president said: “It is with great pride that we announce the next chapter of Monster Energy's decade-long experience in MotoGP, together with the Yamaha Factory Racing Team in MotoGP. After sharing our passion for this sport with Valentino Rossi, Maverick Vinales, Jorge Lorenzo, Cal Crutchlow and Johann Zarco (among others), and with the entire Yamaha family, the prospect of developing our relationship with the official team is something that excites us very much. We remain fully committed to providing the most exciting experience to millions of fans around the world, both on and off the track. Through our sponsorship of the fantastic Yamaha Factory Racing Team and iconic races such as the Catalan or Czech Grand Prix, we have the opportunity to continue our partnership in what is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic sports on the planet.”
