The racing weekend at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram ended positively for Team Iodaracing which brought both drivers into the top ten in race 1, while in the second race only Lorenzo Savadori repeated himself, with Alex De Angelis slipping into 14th.

Penalized by a qualifying that ended prematurely in the first heat, the two riders were called upon to make a comeback in the initial stages of Race2 from the sixth and seventh row, trying to take advantage of the acceleration of their Aprilia RSV4RFs, and immediately managing to get close to the leaders 10.

As in the first race of the weekend, Lorenzo Savadori and Alex De Angelis had the longest confrontation with Reiterberger and Torres, who remained in the sights of the reigning Stock 1000 champion for a long time.
A straight, caused according to the driver's reports by a gearbox jam with five laps to go, sent De Angelis wide, who had to settle for fourteenth final position.

Lorenzo Savadori, however, managed to maintain his pace until the end and crossed the finish line in ninth position, improving his gap on the first place finisher, Tom Sykes, by around ten seconds compared to Saturday's race.

The world ranking sees Lorenzo Savadori in eleventh position with 17 points and Alex De Angelis in fifteenth with 12 world points.

“I'm satisfied with the race because we managed to reach the top ten again. The positive thing is that we have definitely improved the gap from the leaders. Unfortunately I made a small mistake at the end and therefore lost seven seconds” – he said Lorenzo Savadori – “In the race I dueled for a long time with Reiterberger and his BMW and this gave me even more experience. Let's leave here with a new wealth of data that I will need in the future. I have to thank Aprilia and the Iodaracing Team for the great work done here too. I go home very satisfied.

“I don't know what exactly happened on the lap where I went wide, but the gearbox started to tip and they weren't shifting anymore. I'm sorry about the race because I was doing much better than yesterday. I was faster also because the bike was much more rideable than yesterday” – he said Alex De Angelis – “I was also physically much better, yesterday I was struggling while today I was more at ease. We are on the right path, we just need to resolve these small problems that are causing us a bit of trouble, our improvements are constant, but we could be much further ahead."
