MotoGP: Zeelenberg “Lorenzo has decided to race Laguna Seca, we are waiting for him to decide on a strategy”

Wilco Zeelenberg, Yamaha Team Manager, awaits with the team the arrival of Jorge Lorenzo at Laguna Seca. The reigning Yamaha champion has in fact decided to take a risk by racing in the States, after having undergone surgery again on his collarbone which had already undergone surgery following his crash in Assen free practice. The Majorcan crashed again in free practice at the Sachsenring.

“Jorge (Lorenzo, ed.) decided to come to Laguna Seca and, even though it won't be easy, he decided to try, despite the pain and the consequences of the second surgery on his injured collarbone. Another difficult weekend awaits us, especially as the track layout is physically demanding. We are waiting for it with the whole team and then we will decide the strategy for the weekend."
