MotoGP – Warm Up Laguna Seca – Hayden always protagonist
Best time in free Practice 2, best time in free Practice 3, pole and best time in warm up. Nicky Hayden seems to no longer want to stop, the American from Kentucky has in fact stopped the clock at a time of 1'23"402 and preceded Honda's Brazilian Alex Barros by 180 thousandths. At this point only the most important thing is missing, the race!! It won't be easy but Hayden will do his best not to disappoint his brothers and his fans.
Returning to the warm up, the third time was set by Max Biaggi, the Roman rider who after qualifying was not up to par due to a set-up choice which later turned out to be the wrong one, precedes the Americans John Hopkins (Suzuki) and Colin Edwards (Yamaha).
Sixth time for Carlos Checa, the Ducati rider is followed by Rossi, Melandri, Gibernau and teammate Capirossi. Eleventh time for Troy Bayliss, the Australian precedes Nakano's Kasasaki, Kenny Roberts Jr's Suzuki, Tamada's Honda, Hofmann's Kawasaki, the Yamahas of Elias and Xaus and Roberto Rolfo on the 2004 version Ducati Desmosedici with Dunlop tyres. Ellisom (WCM), Byrne (KTM) and Franco Battaini from Brescia on WCM close the field.
