Casey Stoner as well as Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo have their contracts expiring at the end of the season. The "fantastic 4" will therefore be the cornerstone of the market in 2011 and for this reason we are already moving towards renewing their contracts. Vittoriano Guareschi for example, the new Ducati Team Manager, has already made it known that he will try in every way to convince Stoner to stay. Guareschi's contract is three years and Stoner's presence in the team becomes fundamental. Here are his words.

“Obviously we want Casey (Stoner) to stay with us – Guareschi told MCN – I signed a three-year contract to do this job and I would like Casey to stay for all this time. It's really important for Ducati, because right now I think that he is the best rider. I think in terms of absolute speed he is number one. He now has a lot of experience and I think he can be successful in MotoGP for another ten years."
