MotoGP – Valentino Rossi: "Yamaha is my first choice"

As already written several times, at the end of this year the contracts of the "fantastici4", namely Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa, will expire. Obviously, although the season hasn't started yet (the MotoGP tests will begin in Sepang tonight) Rossi's situation is attractive for many teams. However, the Pesaro native's first choice is to remain with Yamaha. The word is up to him.

“I'm very happy with Yamaha and obviously, this is my first choice – reports MCN – In any case it's a bit embarrassing to talk about 2011 when we haven't even started the 2010 season so I don't know what will happen. I think that in June or July 2010 at the latest, everything will be fine. In 2008 I signed in June so this year will be more of the same or maybe things could still be open sometime after the summer. With all of the top four drivers' contracts expiring at the end of this year, the issue will be a constant topic throughout the season. It is a strange coincidence that the four fastest drivers will end their contracts at the same time. I guess everyone will do what they think is best for themselves. As for my future, I will speak first with Yamaha which is my first choice."
