Valentino Rossi is ready to return to the track in Indianapolis, the American circuit where the world championship returns on Sunday after the summer break. The Pesaro native arrives at the circus as championship leader, after an incredible first part of the season, with 9 podiums in 9 races and 3 victories. Indy is certainly not one of Rossi's favorite tracks, which he only won here once back in 2008, it was the first time of the MotoGP, a race that was affected by Hurricane Ike. This year, however, number 46 is ready for a race among the protagonists, the objective is to finish ahead of his team-mate Lorenzo to increase his lead in the standings.

“I'm ready to start this second part of the season – said Valentino Rossi – I unplugged for a couple of days, I was on holiday with my friends but I also trained. After 9 races this break was really needed. Now another 9 races await us, they will all be important for the championship. The first part of the season went really well, I always finished on the podium and I hope that the second part will go well too. I particularly like some tracks, while on others I will have to try to defend myself. Let's start again from Indy, a track that is certainly not among my favourites, but there is a nice atmosphere there and the circuit is very nice, I'm ready!”
