MotoGP: Valentino Rossi confirms his presence at the Monza Rally

Valentino Rossi has confirmed that it will take to the track at the Monza Rally again this year. The race, which will be held from 22 to 25 November and will be broadcast live by Rai Sport, this year it will be dedicated to Marco Simoncelli. In fact, Sic, like his friend Rossi, was also a lover of the Lombard race and had taken to the track in both 2009 and 2010.

The Pesaro native has always participated in this race since 2003, except in 2010 when he was forced to give up his beloved rally tour because he was dealing with the after-effects of his shoulder operation. This year too, like in 2011, he will race with a Ford. Last year he raced the Fiesta and at the end of the three days he finished second, beaten only by the legend Sebastien Loeb. Rossi has also won two editions of the rally in the past, in 2006 and 2007, while in 2008 he also finished 2nd.
Memorable on the Brianza track will remain, in addition to the challenge with Loeb last year, also the one with the late Colin McRae in 2005.

  • ...he should race with an Alfa Romeo myth....next year too...one of you could be a navigator, what do you think?

    • @Fatman

I would sign up to be Vale's navigator and "take care" of public relations with "his fans".

With all that "meats in the fire" you know what a barbecue?

Unfortunately Mike58 abandoned us..., I have to organize myself even without the beach. ;-)
