Valentino Rossi did not go beyond the seventh fastest time on the first day of testing for the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, the eighteenth and final stage of the 2014 world championship. The Yamaha rider has no feeling on a track (Valencia) that is historically not one of his favorites. The seven-time Top Class world champion prefers a bike loaded on the front, but here it is not possible to load him too much, because his M1 then suffers when entering corners. Here's what he told us.

“It was a difficult day, especially this afternoon. This morning I had lapped in 1.31"7, not far from the leaders, I was in the Top Five, but I had some problems. The bike moved a lot, it was nervous and I put pressure on the tyres. Here there are many left corners and few right ones, there is also little temperature on the asphalt. In the afternoon we tried to make some changes to improve, but unfortunately everything we did didn't help us, on the contrary, it created other problems for us. I had a crisis when braking. The positive thing is that we tried a lot. Three front tyres, different settings, we have a lot of information that can help us for tomorrow.”

Historically you haven't achieved great results on this track and here a rider who started from the front row has always won.

“Regarding my performance I must say that there is also a technical question. It's not true that I don't like the track that much, there are also others that aren't among my favourites. Technically speaking, I like a bike with a lot of weight on the front end and that's not right here. This circuit needs a setting that I don't usually use because I don't like how the bike behaves. I'm not riding at the limit, so there is still room for improvement. I like a bike loaded on the front end, which isn't good here. As for qualifying, I believe that to have a good race you will need to qualify at least in the first two rows."

Bridgestone brought the asymmetric front here too. Did it perform better than at Phillip Island?

“I'd say that the front asymmetric wasn't that bad here. The choice remains open, there are many possibilities.”

Well indirectly if you don't like the setting that you are forced to use in a certain circuit you don't even like the circuit.

Jorge has a style and a setting that is very suited to this circuit while Valentino doesn't, it happens on many circuits, we'll see how much Rossi will be able to like it, but if he doesn't enhance his natural skills it will only be harder he must aim for at least third place and that for now is difficult but doable, he doesn't have the time for victory or second place for now if Lorenzo and Marquez continue like this and don't stretch themselves in the race.

If all Valentino's detractors watched the pre press conference they would realize how much they don't understand shit about motorbikes.

they asked randy, espargaro, marquez, jorg and bradel what they think of his worth and his season.

I'll just tell you that the tears fell.

now please, miss another opportunity to shut up and give us up..
