Valencia Test – Twelfth position for Alex Rins on the first day of MotoGP testing on the Valencia track. The Spaniard tested some new components during lunch time, taking to the track with a configuration similar to the one we will see next season.

As for the new engine, however, Rins should have brought it to the track during the afternoon, but the rain ruined the entire work program, forcing the technicians to postpone everything until tomorrow.

Here are the words of Alex Rins (1'32.402): “Today was really a shame. We could have carried out a good job, but just before entering the track with the new engine the rain came. We had to give up. We managed to do some good laps, testing a couple of elements, but nothing really important. Furthermore, the grip level was quite low, which prevented me from pushing hard. I hope that tomorrow offers slightly different conditions."

On Joan Mir's first rounds he added: “It has great potential and the work done today was excellent. We'll see how it continues."
