MotoGP – Valencia Qualifying – The physical condition slows down Dani Pedrosa
Dani Pedrosa will start from the third row (eighth time) in the GP of the Valencian Community, the last event of the 2010 world championship. The Repsol Honda Team rider hoped to be able to repeat the performance of the morning where he had obtained the second time (even if the lap time was better in qualifying) but was unable to make the most of his RC212V. He has the microphone.
“I would like to be a little further ahead in the standings, but considering my physical condition, eighth place isn't that bad. This is a short track and the lap times are very close, and so in just two tenths you can lose two or three places on the grid. This morning we did a good job with the bike set-up and this afternoon we didn't touch much in the session and improved by a couple of tenths. In any case we have to be ready for a very tough race, the distance will be the key point, 30 laps is a lot. Now I will try to rest as much as possible, and tomorrow I will try to make a great start and maintain the pace in the race for as long as possible.”
