Casey Stoner in his last qualifying with Ducati obtained an amazing Pole Position in Valencia. The Australian rider who will be riding the official Honda next year achieved a time of 1:31.799, a time which comes above all from the fourth sector of the track where the 2007 world champion was uncatchable. The word is up to him.

“This morning we weren't entirely satisfied with the front set up and in the afternoon we spent a lot of time on it because here you spend a long time leaning. We didn't find the perfect solution and that's why when I went out on the soft tire I wasn't absolutely sure that I could beat Jorge (Lorenzo) and Marco (Simoncelli's) time. Instead the feeling was immediately good and I set a good time. If I hadn't made a couple of mistakes in the last two laps I think we could have done even better. Never mind, what really matters is that we managed to give Ducati one last pole position. There are a couple of sections where it would be better to be able to improve for tomorrow but also others which, due to the way they must be tackled, remind me of Phillip Island so in general I feel comfortable and confident. Tomorrow will be an exciting day, I'm sure, but I need to focus on the work at hand and try to get the best result possible.”
