Shinya Nakano achieved the 4th best time today in the last qualifying of the 2006 MotoGP class season. The Kawasaki rider who will leave the "big buck" for Honda after this race wanted to hit the front row but is still satisfied with the setup of his Ninja ZX-RR.

“My goal today in the last race of the season was to secure the front row, unfortunately I just didn't make it but I'm still happy with the set-up of my bike with race tyres, we have good options for tomorrow. It will therefore not be a big disadvantage to start from the second row. I didn't finish the last two races and so my priority tomorrow is to finish the race under the checkered flag. Furthermore, I would like a good result for myself and for the team, I will push hard for this. The battle for the title between Valentino and Nicky will be intense, but I have no pressure and I hope to be able to do my race without being in their way."
