The Fortuna Yamaha Team riders are ready for the last race of the season. The Grand Prix of the Valencian Community presents itself as a very difficult task for both Toni Elias and Ruben Xaus who will start very far back. This is a very important fact on a circuit where overtaking is particularly difficult. Today was particularly complex for the Yamaha riders, with Edwards best classified with a sixth position, six tenths from pole. These problems proved to be particularly evident in the last part of the circuit, T4, where the lack of traction complicated the work of the Japanese brand's drivers.
Tomorrow's race is full of unknowns, both for the weather conditions that could exist - some forecasts predict rain - and for the track conditions as a result of them.

Toni Elias

“This morning I had a spectacular fall, although fortunately without any consequences, but it made us lose the rhythm we had found. In the afternoon we worked well, with a full tank and with race tyres. We found a good pace, but starting from such a backward position it will be difficult to place well in the race. Starting a Grand Prix from the fifth row is never a good thing, but I hope to be able to make a good start and be able to recover immediately so as not to lose contact with the leading positions.”

Reuben Xaus

“It's difficult to do well when you start in already difficult conditions. But there are no excuses. Today, as always, we worked hard to find a good feeling. But the reaction of the electronics of this bike is particularly complicated for us because it requires a ride much closer to the style of a 250 two-stroke, something I'm not used to. But we are still talking about a bike that works very well and which - as we have seen - works very well in the hands of other riders, therefore, I must repeat myself and say that there are no excuses."
