Motorcycle Riders Market – After the passage of Jorge Lorenzo in Honda, with the "promotion" of Danilo Petrucci in Ducati, confirmation of Andrea Iannone's move to Aprilia has also arrived.

The rider from Vasto will race in the next two seasons with the Aprilia RS-GP from the Noale company and will join the Spaniard Aleix Espargarò.

In MotoGP since 2013, after having shown off in 125 and Moto2, collecting a total of 12 victories and 12 podium finishes, Andrea Iannone boasts a top class list of one victory, 8 podiums and 2 pole positions.

“With Iannone comes a talented and fast rider who is proving his worth this season too. His arrival is a sign of the growing commitment of the Piaggio Group and Aprilia in the MotoGP program, in which our bike has already demonstrated that it can count on valid technical bases – he said Romano Albesiano, Aprilia Racing Team Manager – Now we need to stay focused on the 2018 season, starting from the next GP in Barcelona. We have a strong team, who have never stopped working hard. We want to continue to grow and bring the RS-GP where it deserves in this still long season, with Aleix and with Scott whom I want to publicly thank for his great professionalism and commitment that is always of the highest level.”

“The combination between Iannone and Aprilia will be a great combination, one of the most interesting in MotoGP and could bring great results. Andrea is a strong, fast, concrete rider – he added Fausto Gresini, Team manager – I believe he can give great support to the team and contribute to the development of the bike. And then, there's no denying it, an Italian rider on a tricolor motorbike is always a great pleasure. Welcome Andrea, let us have fun!”.
