MotoGP – Not even time to unpack before Michele Pirro, Ducati test rider, immediately returned to the track. After the Styrian Grand Prix, the fifth stage of the 2020 MotoGP where he raced as a replacement for the injured Francesco Bagnaia, the Rossa tester returned to the saddle for a day of testing at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The driver from Puglia, who finished the two races at the Red Bull Ring in twelfth and twentieth position, was called to work overtime to better prepare for the double round at Misano scheduled for 13 and 20 September.

In Austria Andrea Dovizioso managed to get back into the fight for the world championship after a less than brilliant start to the season, but the second race on Sunday opened up many question marks. The Red team is still unable to properly digest the new Michelins and this leads to fluctuating results often even between one session and another. If the man from Forlì, or perhaps even Jack Miller, rider of the Ducati Pramac team who will take on the role of official next year, want to compete for the title, a strong reaction will be important and Misano, the track where the #04 won in 2018, but where the last year he only finished sixth, it could be a fundamental stage in the chase for the title. Hence the need for Michele Pirro's effort.

The test driver will also be on track tomorrow.
