Valentino Rossi began a new "era" this morning. Jeremy Burgess has arrived in place Silvano Galbusera, chief engineer with whom the Pesaro native had the opportunity to work in 2009 when he did tests with the Yamaha Superbike. Rossi, who ended the day close to his team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, said he was satisfied with the work and also liked the new bike a lot, he has the say.

“Today was very exciting, it was something different. We worked for a long time with Jeremy (Burgess, ed.) and it was like doing a restart, but I'm happy and satisfied with the day. I knew Silvano (Galbusera, new crew chief) already from the Superbike, we had done some tests together in 2010 with the R1 and I liked the way he worked. It's only the first day, but in any case it was a good day, I was faster and we worked well on the bike. The track conditions and weather were perfect, so I had a lot of fun. We worked with both bikes (2013 and 2014), I liked the new one, it has good power out of corners and the chassis gives a good feeling on the front, so the first impression is very positive.”
