MotoGP Test IRTA Valencia Repsol Honda Day 2 – Very positive last day of testing on the Valencia circuit for Dani Pedrosa, who finished with the second fastest time behind his teammate Marc Marquez.

The rider from Sabadell almost immediately put the 2017 bike away on the second day of testing to focus on the new version.

He took to the track with the same set up as yesterday afternoon and during the day he tried many new features, including the new swingarm.

These are the words of Dani Pedrosa: “Today we started the test with the bike I used in the race, and then we immediately switched to the new bike to analyze the configuration changes we made yesterday afternoon. We tested a different set up with electronics, suspension and geometry, trying to better understand how the new bike behaves. We are not only looking at performance, but also trying to understand what the bike does with the tires on this track, and find out what the strong and weak points are. We also tried a new swingarm and a new Michelin rear tire which has a different compound on one side. We worked hard, with many different things to understand and configure. We've made a lot of progress, but obviously we're not there yet with all the set up ready. All in all it was a very important session, and we gathered a lot of information to work with during the break.”
