It's a satisfied Valentino Rossi who speaks at the end of the first day of testing in Valencia, the first for 2015. Yamaha has in fact brought a new chassis, which the Pesaro native liked. There are also new electronics and a different exhaust. The word is up to him.

“Today the most important news was having a new chassis. We tried it and although we didn't expect much, the bike actually handles better. It helped me when braking and also when entering corners. Yamaha did a good job and the stopwatch also confirms it. We went faster than the times achieved with the 2014 chassis. Then we also tried other things: a different exhaust, electronics and other details. The Japanese are trying to remove weight from the bike, given that it will decrease as per the regulations. They are working on a lighter exhaust. Bridgestone also brought a tire, different from the current one.”

As long as the new chassis with better braking performance doesn't eat up the tires more quickly than this one does, since it seems to me that Honda from that point of view preserves them more, a little can be attributed to electronics and seamless, but It also seems to me that Honda can afford good drifts and heat up the rear tire a lot without the problems that Yamaha has.

At the beginning of the season, from the point of view of tire wear, it seemed they only had problems on the front which they then partially resolved, apart from a couple of occasions, but on the rear at the end of the race they always seemed to be in more difficulty and had fewer tenths of a second on the pace during the race, so they need to make some improvements from that point of view too.

It is not clear if this bike already has 2kg less or almost 158kg or if they still have to remove a good part of it to reach XNUMXkg.

If the weight drops by 2kg I don't think they will have much trouble removing them. A few years ago they weighed much less. Certainly the electronics have increased by increasing the weight, the complexity of the gearbox with the seamless also and probably the weight of the transmission has also increased. We need to see where they will remove those 2kg, certainly not all of them will be gained on the exhaust, but perhaps they also have the possibility of moving some masses that have been added in recent years to weigh them down.

Hahahaha great Lyon!! Rossi is a winning bet!! when he retires they will do like the Cid

a medieval Spanish knight, legend and great leader who tells the legend that when he had already died from the wounds caused in the battle, his loyal ones tied him to the horse and threw him into battle. The Cid was so feared that he put to flight those who took him they were in front of! ha ha ha

Don't miss an opportunity to shut up:

“You dreamed of being a stoner on his island, you woke up and the reality is something completely different, ahahahahh nothing but victory..”

19 October 2014 Valentino wins at Philip Island for the sixth time in his career and you write:

“If the others fall and give faulty tires to your teammate, you'll see that you win the races too... how disgusting”

And now you say you're not disappointed????

Hahahahaha!!! Don't take the opportunity to prove yourself wrong, you're a hoot…..TONYKART, for your own good: next time shut up!!!!

By the way... who won the 2006 World Championship, winning only two races and always obtaining good placings?

As always… you missed another opportunity to shut up…

      You're really a crock...

But come on Lyon, our TONY isn't interested in Valentino!!!

…he is a Lorenzo fan!!! Ah no... he only supported Jorge when he won. Pedrosa?… No, not even him, because now he takes them from everyone!!

…There are! Now he is a Marquez fan!!! But who knows why he ONLY comments on articles about Rossi and not those that talk about his favorite rider!!!

I have expressed what I think several times, the season was of a low level because Marquez won 13 races, he threw a couple of them away because he could afford to play cool, Lorenzo who was supposed to be the real antagonist and start over from last season's fight he got into the ball straight away and made a lot of bullshit as well as never finding a perfect feeling with this new Yamaha, Pedrosa was miserable with the same bike, Valentino won 2 races!!!!!2! !!!!!!where is the high level of this season ??????a world championship already awarded after a few races for the other crumbs
13 to 2 in any sport is a humiliation... and it applies to all those with motorbikes that count

Tony, if you're talking about logic, you're 100% right because a 13-2 leaves no room for further considerations...but...those who love this sport must admit that it's worth it, it was amazing and I hope it maintains this level for many more seasons, to ensure that Moto GP remains, at least for me, the most beautiful sport in the world. Have a nice day everyone.

Maybe it won't be bad to remember the premises of this championship, because with hindsight it's easy to make easy judgments... There was a Marquez, with the experience of the first championship won, and this time with full knowledge of all the tracks and with the data available. A Super Honda that still maintains a certain superiority over the M1 at the end of the championship, let alone at the beginning... There was a Lorenzo who regularly beat Rossi during the 2013 championship and without the crashes and related stops he would most likely have been the champion.. There was a Pedrosa who wanted (finally) to try to win something and for him too the question of the super motorbike applies, in fact Pedro also overtook Rossi with a certain regularity during 2013.. ALL these champions are younger of Rossi, more or less. Rossi, moreover, also changed Jeremi Burgess with Galbusera who, coming from SBK, did not know the reality of MotoGP. .. The "usual IDI4TIs", even if they pretend nothing had happened now, were so sure of it that they made innumerable catastrophic predictions while preparing for another year of attacks on Rossi himself and the fans.. Predictions that the always great 0 forced down his throat, eclipsing them from the forum.. In the end Marc was the only one superior to Rossi (by a lot) but if next year the M0 is up to the RCV, perhaps Marquez will win the same but he will have to sweat it out a little more…….

Hi best...let me ask you a question...is there any idiot who still thinks that the Rossi of the two-year Ducati period and of 2013 was the Valentino of all time? I have always thought that the Ducati was a fruit bike and the 2013 Yamaha was not a motorbike that he felt was "his". Obviously it's my opinion. With the right motorbike it's the usual infinite phenomenon and the fact that another phenomenon has arrived that is as strong as him doesn't change his history and his prestige. Hi best !

Hello multi. I think like you, I would also add the loss of self-confidence after the 2 disastrous years in Ducati, self-confidence that took him a year to regain but from this year there he is restored and determined like in the good times .. Let's be honest, Rossi's myth was only shattered on the Ducati, the D16 will remain the only flaw in a dazzling career, it wasn't his bike without mincing words. But even in that bad situation I liked it how he remained in his place without whining and drank the bitter cup to the dregs, it's not for everyone……. I am also convinced that without the many advantages granted by his uncle, the Ducati would have been the grave for Dovi too..
