Dani Pedrosa closed the 2012 season with the best time. The Repsol Honda Team rider managed to lap today on the second day of testing in Valencia, while yesterday he remained in the pits due to bad weather. The first impressions on the 2013 bike are positive, even if there is work to be done given the greater weight imposed by the new regulations. The word is up to him.

“In the end we were lucky, because after almost two days of doing nothing due to the weather, we were able to go out on track for two hours and do the basic work. We needed to do this to get the first feelings on the new bike. It was a useful test for me, I started with the bike I raced on Sunday and then moved on to next year's bike. It is basically the same, but with more weight to adapt it to the new regulation. We have had rather positive feedback from this point of view. Now the engineers will check and analyze the data to understand if there is any need to work further on this point. I felt the greater weight when braking and also on the straights. Now it's time to relax a bit after such an intense season to be ready to work again in February in Sepang, the first test of 2013. It's always nice to finish the year with the best time, but even more so to know that everything works well. Our bike has reached a very good level to be able to start the next season strongly.”
