Valentino Rossi ended the three-day MotoGP test on the Sepang circuit in a very positive way. In fact, the Yamaha rider from Pesaro, despite the domestic injury which cost him stitches in his hand and foot, worked very well with the team and was constantly among the fastest. The Bridgestone single tire did not create any problems for him and in fact he used the harder compound for most of the tests. Now our thoughts turn to Doha, the next round of MotoGP testing and a circuit where last year didn't go very well. The word is up to him.

“I'm about to leave this place with a good feeling because we've made a good start. Everything went well: my pain has decreased, the bike is good and I feel better. We finished everything we wanted to do and the setup and pace are very good. The lap time is so fast that we made a good start. We haven't done the long-run, but we really don't need it. Without my injury maybe it would have been possible, but in this situation we decided to leave it alone. For Qatar I will be in perfect shape again. I did the fastest lap today with the hard compound Bridgestone tyres, so that means the bike is good. Of course we need to improve a little but at the moment this test was very important. The first test of the year is always difficult, even if one trains a lot in winter, so I'm happy! In Qatar it will be interesting, because last year we weren't strong, but then last year the bike wasn't ready yet, when we went to the first race in Doha. I'm really looking forward to the next test.”
