MotoGP | Sepang Test Day 3, Rins: “Satisfied with our work”

Sepang MotoGP test 2023 LCR Honda – Three days full of ups and downs for Alex Rins and Taakaki Nakagami on the Sepang track, scene of the first pre-season test session.

At his first official outing in the colors of LCR Honda, the Spaniard continued his work of adapting to Honda, optimizing not only the set-up of his RCV, but also his driving style.

However, things were different for the Japanese rider, given that the latter, finally fit from a physical point of view, was able to focus on the updates presented by Honda in Malaysia.

“I am satisfied with our work; the rain messed up our plans, but overall it went pretty well. We tried some things and even a race simulation, and it's the third time with this bike; we found interesting ideas. The basic tuning is not yet clear, but we are working hard to find the right direction. From what I hear the four Honda riders have similar opinions, so we hope to try different things in Portimao to take a further step forward."

“It was a very challenging test; we tried many things and collected a lot of important data. We still have some work to do, but I'm happy because my physical condition has improved and my hand no longer bothers me when I drive my RCV. Let's keep working hard because we will have many things to try in Portimao. I want to thank my team for working hard as always in this first test in Sepang."
