Oliveira identified cornering speed as one of the critical aspects to improve, focusing efforts on this key point to reduce the time gap.

Statements Miguel Oliveira Test Sepang MotoGP 2024

“It's been a long day. We had short stops and tried a lot of things just to understand the bike better. Finally, to summarize the end of the day; I don't have much feeling at the moment and I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding how I can push and go faster. However I think I gave good feedback in the box. We'll sit down tonight and see what we can improve for tomorrow. Certainly one of the most important points for me with this bike was the cornering speed and that's where I lose the most time. We're working on it. At this moment the important thing is to know how to go fast because we have a good lap from Aleix (Espargaro). In terms of pace we're not that far away, but we weren't able to make a good time attack, so we're missing about a second ahead.”
