MotoGP Test Sepang Day 1 Red Bull KTM Tech 3 – Sixteenth and twenty-sixth times for Miguel Oliveira and Hafizh Syahrin on the first day of pre-season testing on the Sepang track.

In fact, despite the great work on the settings, the KTM Tech 3 team was unable to make the most of the package presented in Malaysia, suffering from the lack of grip on the rear tyre. A complex situation that severely penalized performance on the track.

It should be noted that the Portuguese completed fifty-nine laps, while the Malaysian finished the day with forty-nine laps.

Here are the words of Miguel Oliveira: “The day was good, even if we took a small step back because we wanted to get on track with the same setting and this took some time. In any case, the team did an excellent job. We adapted our program and were able to test everything we wanted. We managed to complete a lot of good laps, which is a positive sign. The fastest lap at the end was ok and overall I had a good pace. I'm happy with this first day and I can't wait to improve tomorrow."

Here are Hafizh Syahrin's ratings: “My first impression was good after the long winter break. It was a long wait, but in the end we had the shakedown a little earlier than other teams. Overall I feel good, even if we are a little far from the top. We all worked hard, looking for the best possible configuration, but at the moment I'm not satisfied with the feeling."

“However, I am optimistic and tomorrow we will try some solutions to gain more grip at the rear”he concluded.
