MotoGP | Sepang Test Day 1, Miguel Oliveira: “Good day”

MotoGP Test Sepang Aprilia Trackhouse Racing – Miguel Oliveira closed the first day of IRTA testing of 2024 at the Sepang circuit with the 15th fastest time.

The Portuguese rider, from the Trackhouse Racing Aprilia team, inaugurated the season with a positive comment after the first day of testing. After a period of rest, Oliveira expressed his enthusiasm to get back in the saddle. Despite a slight fall which caused mild shoulder discomfort, the Portuguese rider outlined the areas that require attention to get the maximum potential out of the bike.

"Has it been a good day. I was very excited to start testing because I haven't driven in a long time. I think everyone on the grid was excited to get started. We did what we had to do: give our first impressions of the bike, start riding it, try some things, nothing crazy. We didn't touch the bike too much. Some things work, some don't, which is normal for a new bike. Immediately what we feel is great potential, but we still need to put everything together and balance the bike better. The aerodynamic side is a little different, so we have to adjust that. Overall I felt good, although I had a small fall where I hurt my shoulder plate again, but it was much better during the afternoon and I was able to carry out the full plan we had planned. Tomorrow we will face another long day."
