MotoGP Test Sepang Day 1 LCR Honda – Lots of setup work at LCR at the end of the first day of pre-season testing on the Sepang track. Despite some small slowdowns, Cal Crutchlow managed to complete the entire work program planned for today's session, collecting important data in view of tomorrow,

As for Taakaki Nakagami, however, the Japanese rider suffered from his still precarious physical condition, an aspect that did not allow him to push the 2019 Honda spec that he will use starting from the Qatar Grand Prix to the maximum.

“Now the work begins. We are trying to improve last year's RC213V and during this day we had two 2020 models inside the garage, not counting the intermediate version between the new one and the one from last season. We ran the test program with a small delay around lunchtime, but that's normal. Overall it was nice to get back on the bike, but tomorrow will be quite a tougher day. We will learn a lot more about what we have.”

“From my side it was a bit difficult. It's been four months since I last rode at Motegi and we're talking about a fairly long period without riding a MotoGP. Physically the situation isn't the best yet, but overall it was nice to be back on the bike. With the team, even if we haven't looked at the timing references, we need to improve the package. There are a lot of things I need to understand and there is a big difference between the '18 and '19 version. We will continue this work tomorrow."
