MotoGP: Sepang Test 2 Day 3, Jorge Lorenzo “The bike has improved compared to the first test, but the heat stopped me”

Jorge Lorenzo he closes the Malaysian test with the 2nd time, 3 tenths behind Marc Marquez. The Yamaha rider is particularly satisfied because in these three days he managed to lower his best lap by two tenths compared to Sepang I when the track was much cleaner than today. The Majorcan also attempted a race simulation at 15pm, but at that time the track was a real oven and he therefore had to give up the test.

“Today I did my best lap ever here in Sepang – said Jorge Lorenzo – two tenths better than the first test at the beginning of the month, despite the track today not being as perfect as it was then, and this means that the bike has improved. Then I did many laps on 2.00. At the beginning of the afternoon I did a race simulation, I had never lapped in such heat here in Sepang, it was really difficult to have a good pace in that heat, so I decided to stop.
In the end I can say that it was a good test, engineers will now have further data to work with ahead of the next Qatar test. I can't wait to get back on the bike in 2 weeks, in the meantime I will work as hard as I can at home to be in top shape"
